Claudia & Jesse | Family is what you have
When everywhere you look, it’s all about the perfect family and yours is changing and evolving.
How to Photograph Children
We wanted to write a blog about how we photograph the little ones, but before we start, I do want to say these are just the things that we’ve learnt along the way. We love what we do and love being around families, so these are some of the things that we’ve noticed as we go. These work if you are being paid to photograph children / families, or if you own some children and it’s a quick guide to some of the things we’ve do at most of our family shoots.
Your story matters too.
Why listening to yourself and giving yourself enough time and space, is one of the best ways to bring your creativity back into a flow.
Favourite lens for family photography
Which lenses work best for family photography - Here we go through our experiences working with different lenses and talk about which are our favourites and why.
Family travel to Scotland
Last summer we headed up to Tynabruaich in Scotland and these are some of the images from that trip. It’s something we want to do more as a family in 2019, if it’s climbing a mountain one weekend going on a plane and exploring new countries or just being out close to home on the moors. If you could recommend anywhere in the UK or further a field then please let us know.
Chloe | family shoot | Why family shoots matter
Family is everything. When you have the chance to stop and really see it. Really see you. Having photographs taken at any point are always going to mark parts of your life that will at some point seem like such a distant memory. That’s why we wholeheartedly love to take these pictures for you. They matter, you matter.

Jo | Portrait
An honest portrait of my wife on her 40th birthday. There’s something about being more accepting of ourselves at this age. I love to see how she’s taking stock and moving forwards, taking every day as it comes and bringing so much joy to our lives.
