I think it's time
humans support
each other again.
For creative founders who are tired of doing it alone.
You don't have to be loud. You don't have to perform progress or package yourself into something that doesn't feel like you.
You just have to show up — small, consistent, and unmistakably yourself. With people who actually get it.
Origin opens September 2026 · Founding members welcomed now
"Most creatives are craving individuality — a way to cut through the noise and escape what everyone else is doing."
You don't have to hack the Algorithm.
You can turn up in quiet, honest ways and still build something real.
You don't have to be everywhere.
Consistency beats volume. Every time.
You don't have to have it figured out.
The room is for the in-between — the slow weeks, the pivots, the days you do it anyway.
You don't have to do it alone.
That's what this is.
A place to come back to.
Origin is a weekly space for creative founders who are doing it honestly — around real life, with real people, without the performance.
Every week there's a rhythm to return to. A short teach, a creative share, a chance to work alongside people who actually get it. Sometimes it's structured. Sometimes it's just the company you needed.
For those in Yorkshire > there'll be occasional in-person meet-ups too. A real room with real humans when you need it.
And underneath everything: practical, grounded skill. How to use photography and visual storytelling to show who you are. How to plan content around a life that doesn't always cooperate. How to be seen on your own terms.
What's included
Weekly
Online session — 45 minutes. Teach, share, co-work, or simply show up. Rotates so it stays fresh.
Foundations
Access to Jo's photography and visual storytelling course — practical skill that underpins everything.
The Space Between
A private community to connect in — between sessions, between the hard weeks, between the wins.
Guest Creatives
Real people sharing how they actually work, see, and think — not polished expertise, honest experience.
In Person
Occasional Yorkshire meet ups for those who want a room, a coffee, and actual faces.
Your Input
Founding members help shape what Origin becomes. You're not just joining — you're part of building it.
This is for you if —
You're running a creative business solo and it's lonelier than you expected
You need structure but hate being told what to do
You know visibility matters but haven't found a way that feels like you
You're exhausted by the performance of modern business
You've thought "I just need to find my people" more than once this month
You want to build something real — slowly, honestly, on your own terms
"I've always felt things strongly. Noticed things others walked past. I used to think that was the problem. Now I think it's the point."
I'm neurodivergent. I see a lot. I feel a lot. I notice what people need before they can name it themselves — and I've spent my whole career using that to help creative founders be seen on their own terms.
But I've also been lonely in this industry. Really lonely. The kind of lonely where you're surrounded by other people doing creative work and still feel like no one quite gets what it's actually like.
The best I ever felt was when I was running my photography course — a room of over 200 business owners, all learning together, all showing up for each other. That community was something. And when it ended, I felt the absence of it more than I expected.
I've been sitting on Origin since 2019. I kept waiting until it was perfect — the right platform, the right moment, the right version of me. But the truth is, I needed it then. And I suspect you need something like it now.
So many of us have our own experience, knowledge, and skills. And somewhere along the way, we stopped sharing them with each other and started performing them for an algorithm instead.
I want to change that. Not with a course, not with a funnel — just a room. Honest, consistent, human. The kind of place where you feel like you belong.
— Jo, Origin Creative Co
There are so many of us out there.
Creative founders with our own experience, knowledge, and skills — doing it quietly, doing it alone, wondering if we're the only one who finds it this hard.
We're not. We just haven't found the right room yet.
Origin is built on the belief that when people who see things differently come together — and actually support each other — something shifts. Not just in the business. In the person doing it.
That's what belonging does. And that's what this is for.
