BESPOKE MENTORING FOR PROFESSIONAL CREATIVES.

Finding and hearing your creative voice can be hard in this lovely world of noisy social media. It’s so easy to fall into the trap of copying another person's style or not taking the time to question what your work is all about.

We all see the world differently, and what’s important to you might not be to the next creative.

But we both want you to have a business that's sustainable and rewarding. That starts with working out what's at the heart of your image-making, craft or other creative endeavors.

I work with professional creatives to take everything back to basics.

At the end of our mentoring sessions, you’ll feel reenergised, with a clear vision of what’s important to you.

WHY WORK WITH ME?

I’ve been working as a professional photographer, videographer, and educator for the last 15 years, and honestly, I still don’t have all the answers.

But I am a passionate teacher, and I don’t keep anything to myself. It can feel vulnerable to share what is and isn’t working for you creatively, so I handle our sessions with care and confidentiality. Read more about mehere.

With my wife Jo, we run The Melias, a brand design studio working on meaningful, soulful projects mainly in North England. This means I have a broad view of creative industries and I’ll bring that knowledge to our sessions.

During our mentoring sessions, we can discuss:

  • How to overcome photography-focused creative blocks, including studio set-ups, workflows, and editing.

  • How to communicate effectively with clients: I’ll help you be more observant towards them, listen to them, and make deeper connections.

  • Guiding you to refocus on your creative voice and how to use your preferred medium to express it.

  • Anything on your mind stopping you from doing your best work. Barriers are real, and I’ll help you find ways to work around them.

HOW THIS WORKS

You can use the booking form below to choose your session date and time, pay for the session, and complete a preliminary questionnaire to help me know more about you.

A one-hour session is £200 and you’re welcome to arrange multiple sessions to get ongoing support.

If you want to chat with me before booking, click here to arrange a call, and I’ll happily share how I think I can help you. Click here to make a free discovery call.

I will always shape something to suit you.

Our sessions will be on Google Meet, or if you want to come to the studio in Halifax, you’d be very welcome.

I can’t wait to meet you.

“Art isn’t in the tools, material or equipment you use. It’s in the way you see the world.”
— Rick Rubin

Can we meet face to face?

Absolutely! If you want to travel to my studio, and work together in person, you’re very welcome. When we have our pre-call on Zoom, let’s discuss the length of our session and the cost.

Can I book more than one session?

Yes of course, let's talk about what you need during our discovery call.

Is this just for photographers?

No. Themes. Overlaps. Soft skills that work in any creative environment.

I’m a professional photographer, so my visual language is spoken most often through the camera. But, conversations with creatives lead to so many overlaps.
